The Anti-Christian Spirit

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” – 1 John 2:18.

According to John we live in the “last time,” or the “last hour.” As this evil world draws to a close we will see an increase of anti-Christian activity. In our passage, John tells us that many antichrists will arise before final man of sin appears.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, (the Apostasy) and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” – 2 Thessalonians 2:3.   

We are told that even now, there are many antichrists among us.

“Even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” – 1 John 2:18.

John tells us to expect many people to teach things opposing God’s truth. Falsehoods that will change laws and times and promote an ungodly environment. This anti-Christian spirit will promote false doctrines, that will lay the foundation for the coming Antichrist. Their teachings will promote stories that contradict God’s word. So called science will spin new versions of origins. They will twist physical evidence, in order to deny God; they will promote ungodly lifestyles along with a culture that opposes God’s moral nature.
