Proclamation & Persecution

31

When you look at Paul’s missionary journeys he would often start at the local Synagogue.

In Acts 14 Paul and Barnabas arrive in Iconium and they both go to the Synagogue to preach to the Jews.

Paul had a great burden for his own people the Jews. He knew just how they would think.

Paul was willing to evangelize all sorts of people but he would often start with the people he knew best, the Jews.

That is a great principle for witnessing. What is a people group that you know well?

Where are your natural contacts? Your natural contacts might be family, friends or people from the same background as yourself.

Many Christians have come out of all sorts of religious backgrounds and with their religious backgrounds they can find common ground with people whom with they had once shared their religious beliefs before they came to Christ.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and you witness for Him and you make an Impact for Him you will soon find that you are in the middle of a great battle field.

You might find that your family is divided because of your witness. You might find that there is a division in your workplace because of your witness.

The Bible says that the Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
