Christ the Lamb Takes the Scroll GR 831

Man's misery, his frustration, the futility of his life is all an evidence of the work of sin. And the misery of this life is simply an anticipation of the wretched condition that sinful man will experience in an eternal hell. Now it is through the work of Christ that the purposes and plans of God in redeeming His creation will be accomplished. And it is not possible in any way to understand the course of human events, it is not possible to understand what is taking place in our world without an understanding of the purpose of Jesus Christ. As we continue Revelation 5 our attention will be turned from the One who is sitting on throne, God the Father, to the One who has provided redemption by His death, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. So the focal point or the focal person of chapter 5 of Revelation is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
