Boasting Only in the Cross

Spirit-filled Christianity is being enamored with who God is, which is shown most clearly in the cross. The cross is Paul's glory and the centerpiece of his gospel and theology. The Spirit always leads us to the cross, which leads to living in sacrificial love.
Everyone boasts in something, because we were created to seek approval. The natural man is enslaved to the approval of the world. Those in Christ have been crucified to the world, the law, and the flesh. They now have the approval of God in Christ and the cross becomes their boast.
