Jesus Christ has come to the end of his public ministry. He knows that He will arrested within 24 hours yet He is teaching the Disciples and us a clear lesson.
It is the ultimate display of selfless service in the Upper Room that culminated in the Cross a day later.
The lessons to Christians here are numerous including the fact that we "must be washed".
