The Worthy Walk

Walking is a simple but effective word picture. "Walk a mile in my shoes..." "Watch your step!" Your walk is your lifestyle. The Bible also likes this metaphor. "How blessed is the man who does not walk in the way of the wicked (Psalm 1:1)." "We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)." The second half of Paul's letter to the Ephesians begins with a powerful walking command (4:1): "Walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called." With that Paul launches the "lifestyle" half of his letter! So let's take some basic walking lessons from the apostle: i.) The call to the Christian walk (v.1); ii.) the steps of the Christian walk (vv.2-3; iii.) the fuel for the Christian walk (vv.4-6).
