The Refiner Comes to His Temple

This the account of Christ coming to "his Temple" and responding to the deviant state of things. Saving faith must acknowledge to some degree at least that the Christ we receive is indeed a refiner. We gather from this lesson that We can be so near yet so far from spiritual blessing. We note as well that our disposition in public worship is profoundly consequential. Then there is a fact set forth here that repeats itself at every manifestation of the Lord of Glory. The self-defeating character of sin is set forth as well.
