The Lord in Our Midst

God the Father redeems his children with love and in grace, rejoicing over them as he does so. He redeems by drawing near, in the very person of his Son, entering into the midst of the besieged city in which the children are held captive. He removes our enemies, by bearing our judgement in the Cross.
