The Power and Compassion of Jesus

In chapters 8-9 Matthew shifts from focusing on the authoritative teaching of Jesus to the authoritative works of Jesus! What is amazing about the miraculous works that Jesus does is that they always seem to benefit other people. He could have chosen to stand on a stage to do his miracles in order to reveal His glory, but he didn't. He chose to reveal His power as God in a way that also revealed HIS HEART OF COMPASSION AND MERCY FOR SUFFERING SINNERS! Come, taste and see that the Lord is good!
