News from the Battlefront

Christ was announcing that His Kingdom was advancing. He was telling His generals that He would be sending them on a mission, and that they needed to stay connected to the supply line. The big picture here is that the kingdom of God has come like a tiny seed. Jesus Christ and the glory of the kingdom are somewhat veiled as it were. Not everyone will be able to receive it, but those who do will bear miraculous fruit.

This is not only about the harvest of evangelism but also the harvest in our own lives. He tells the disciples something that may gave us a real clue on how this is determined, about how we can experience an increase in our effectiveness in the kingdom of God for the glory of God in our lives.
