Philippians 1.3-8

Why is a thankful attitude important?

1. To honor God

2. To produce humility

3. To stimulate our faith

4. To produce contentment

Where does a thankful attitude come from?
[Colossians 2:6-7]
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord,
so WALK in him,
rooted and built up IN HIM
and established in the faith, just as you were taught,
abounding in THANKSGIVING.

A. WHAT DOES PAUL DO?
I THANK my God

B. TO WHOM?
I thank MY GOD

C. WHEN?
I thank my God in all my REMEMBRANCE of you

D. HOW?
…in every prayer of mine…making my prayer with joy

E. WHY?
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you
will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
