Commands For Carrying Out the Ministry

In his providing leadership for the church at Ephesus, Timothy was given a series of commands to follow by the apostle Paul, There were certain things he needed to do to carry out the ministry as well as how he was to conduct himself in his daily personal life. The later half of these include his need to be focused on the Word of God, to be faithful in using his spiritual gift, to be concerned about or absorbed with the matters of the ministry, to be attentive to his personal spiritual condition and faithfulness to the Word of God in his teaching, and to be diligent in keeping at his life and ministry by persevering.
