Are You Ready?

The phrase "Prepare to meet your God" is often perceived to be a signature of doom. It's something Clint Eastwood might say in a movie to an opponent he is about to dispatch into eternity. But what is the point of preparing if all is already lost? The message of the OT prophets, as stern and severe as they may sound to our ears, is ultimately a message of divine grace.
