- God's making of clothing met an emergency that pictures what He would do for sinful man (the clothes show a recognition of guilt given to us in Adam and a reckoning of righteousness given to us in Christ)
- God's making of clothing set an example for the actions of Adam and Eve
(sanctification - i.e. take the fig leaves off and try to put on the garments God has given us, put off the old man and put on the new man)
