Seeds — Rarely Ever Taste Like Their Fruit

146

The Seed of a Thing... Rarely Ever Taste Like the Fruit of a Thing

Remember this... the seed of a thing rarely ever taste like the fruit of a thing.

For an example: Lemon seeds don't taste like lemons... neither do pumpkin or apple seeds taste like a pumpkin or an apple.

What's the point?

Recognizing this principle will help you from being confused when the lovely fruit you're enjoying off of another persons life, doesn't taste the same when God's planting those same seeds in your life. If you're not careful, you'll question why there's such a difference in what's happening in your life compared to what you're enjoying from someone else's life.

There's been a process that has taken time to get a delicious fruit from a particular seed. A process that includes planting, when the soil of our hearts must be broken up and tender. A process of pressure, when seed must be covered with that tender soil so pressure, heat and moisture can be adequately applied. A process of patience, when time must be given to the seed to break out of its shell that it may root in that tender soil that's been putting pressure and heat upon it. A process of perseverance, when the roots dig deep to provide a foundation for the stalk to be nourished and grow toward the sun and time for the fruit to flow and mature in its season. This process must take place before the fruit of those seeds are consumable or enjoyable fruit.

Fruit... good consumable fruit, starts with a seed! Good fruit comes from good seed.
