This passage further describes the meaning of having a walk worthy of the calling by which we were called.

We are all to be taught by Christ through the "gifts" he gave at his coronation. These gifts are the offices He gave as they're listed in verse 11. apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.

It is through these that Christ has chosen to oversee and govern His Church. Through these He gave the Scriptures and through these and their use of His Word, readies and prepares His people for service in the world.
