A divine display
Series Intermission
197 ( 162 | 35 )
Why does God work in his people the rich resurrection realities of life in Christ, being raised up and seated in the heavenlies together with him?
The Lord intends to put something on display: to hold something prominent before the eyes of men and angels.
He intends to put his grace and kindness on display: all the wonder of divine goodness revealed in Christ, freely bestowed on the utterly undeserving.
He intends to put his grace and kindness on perpetual display: now and forever these divine goodnesses shine forth, to the praise of the glory of his grace.
We then, should be rebuked for our materialism, are offered peace in our trouble, and find comfort in our time of need.
