*Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin* -- Does This Teach Perfectionism?

What should we make of these verses that appear to say that unless you are sinless you are not a child of God?

"Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him." -- I Jn. 3:6

"He that committeth sin is of the devil" -- I Jn. 3:8a

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin , because he is born of God." -- I Jn. 3:9

among others.

They do NOT teach sinless perfectionism, and this sermon explains why.
