322

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally-celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery of blacks in the United States, it began in Galveston, Texas in 1867. From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th also called Juneteenth, as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond. Texas officially made it a holiday in 1980, and 45 more states and the District of Columbia have since followed suit. This year, a number of a major companies declared June 19, also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day.

"And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me." Exodus 8:1 (KJB)

On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, we will explore the rich history of Juneteenth, pronounced as the combination of 'june' and 'teenth' for the nineteenth day of the month, and why this day is so important to blacks in America. We will attempt to look honestly and realistically at the history of slavery in the United States, as well as what the King James Bible has to say on that subject as well. Today is June 19th, and a great time to look at Juneteenth from the eyes of black people. Race relations are currently the number one topic for discussion in America right now, so a look at Juneteenth could not be more timely.
