America Jumped the Shark

There seem to be two types of changes that take place in society. First, we have the change that is very slow and incremental. This type of change is not really noticed by most until all of a sudden one day the majority of people realize what has occurred. Second, we have change that literally overwhelms society, creating massive change overnight. I believe both of these things have been brought to bear on society.
