Come Unto Me

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).

We first see here a wonderful invitation. It is an invitation specifically to those who are heavy laden. Next, we observe a great blessing promised. Rest is promised by the one who can actually give rest. We then see a path marked out. Now in submission to Him, a new course is followed. Finally, we get a tender view of Jesus.
