Pastor Geoff now discusses with the CFBC family Jesus' view of homosexuality. Many may (wrongly) claim that since Jesus never directly addressed homosexuality, then he didn't really care about it. He didn't prohibit it.
But what do the gospels teach? Is there clarity here?
Yes! Pastor Geoff provides a handful of headings to equip us about the clear and unambiguous teaching of Jesus in upholding and affirming marriage a covenant between one man and one woman (Matt 19).
Jesus affirmed the covenant of marriage as only defined by one man & woman -Matt 19 -
Jesus prioritized the heart as the root of our sins (the heart is the source that brings forth actions/behavior). He affirmed that only the “pure in heart” will see God (Matt 5:8)
Jesus upheld and affirmed the OT as true, authoritative & given by God.
Jesus and Paul harmonize together & do not contradict one another on homosexuality.
