Keeping The Hearts of Our Families

The Holy Scriptures are clear that a man's ability to rule in his home is one of the chief qualifications of his ability to lead inside the local church. His wife and children are his first congregation, and if he loses their hearts he has lost his ministry. Yet the ministry is fraught with perils that take their tole upon pastors, their wives, and their children. And pastoral care requires a commitment of time. How does a man navigate his callings to be a Christian, a husband, a father, and a pastor? Though specifically directed to men in the ministry, this sermon has broad application to all men. May the Lord be pleased to use it for His glory and our family's good.
