The Danger of Unbelief

By precept and illustration, Pastor Tony describes the danger of unbelief. Briefly, unbelief is an insult to God: It says we can not truest God. The text alludes to the Children of Israel who did not believe that God would bring them into the Promised Land but rather went with the opinion of the ten spies. The ten spies did not trust God or his promises. Joshua and Caleb, alone trusted God’s promises. The sin of Israel is one of infidelity, unbelief.

The sin of unbelief has consequences, three of which Pastor Tony addresses in this important sermon. 1) Forgetful of God’s mighty works 2) provoke God and 3) divine curse: The adult generation will not enter the Promised Land, His rest.

Pastor Tony concludes with the assurance that the elect will hear, and head, His warnings.
