From Indebtedness to an Inheritance

Paul presents only two kinds of people in the world: first, those who are indebted to the flesh and controlled by it, and, secondly, those who are indwelled by the Spirit and set free from the control of the flesh. Those who have the Spirit also have the inheritance of the sons and daughters of God which includes eternal life and all the accompanying blessings of being united to Christ. Christians now have the power to say "no" to sin and "yes" to God and his will by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
