Earnestness in Approaching God

In this section, Jesus holds an impromptu evangelistic meeting at the house where he's staying. Intruders break through the roof in order to get their friend to Jesus so he can heal him. Jesus ignores the impropriety and sees only their faith. The forgiveness of the paralysed man's sins that he announces causes opposition in the minds of the scribes who were present. In afterwards healing the man of paralysis, he shows them that he has the power and authority to forgive sins also. The hard-hearted scribes still didn't get it. We take the four friends' example to remember how the Lord encourages importunity when we approach him in prayer.
