Psalm 19: The Revealing of God's Glory

Preaching on Psalm 19 and the testimony of Carlin.

Psalm 19 has three voices: the silent word of creation, the perfect word of Scripture, and the contrite word of a penitent sinner. All people everywhere know that there is a God and will be held accountable to Him. Creation is continuously declaring the glory of God as Creator and Sustainer to everyone, so that no one is without excuse. The perfect Word of Scripture tells us who that this God is, a covenant God. This special revelation reveals God's glory as Law-giver and Joy-giver. Reading the Law and knowing God causes David to pray and confess His sins and God's glory is displayed as Redeemer and Protector. Christ is the fullest revelation of God.
