The New Jerusalem
Series Revelation Series 2008
The dwelling place for God's people through all eternity is more than a mystical, spiritual, feel-good kind of place. It will be a place with form and substance, with tangible features as the city where the redeemed have their citizenship.
This city that is to come is where the people of God have always anticipated going to.
It is described in the Scriptures as the new Jerusalem, the holy city that is to be the eternal dwelling place of God, His Church, and the saved remnant of Israel.
This city is where Christ spoke of returning to, to prepare a place for His people.
The new Jerusalem is described as having a wall around it with twelve gates. Details are even given regarding the measurements of the city layout and physical features of the gates, walls, and lighting.
These details help believers yet today keep their minds set on those things that have eternal significance and lasting value.
