Despair

In the suicide of Judas there are lessons to be learned. First and foremost, happening in the context of, and reaction to, the trial of Jesus - Judas' suicide reminds us of the innocence of Christ. But, beyond that declaration of Christ's perfection, there is also the lessons learned from the height of despair. What leads a person to commit self-murder? Is there any hope for such a perpetrator? The answers strike at the heart of our theology of sin and redemption. They matter.
