The Launch of Jesus' Ministry

Here, Jesus' life of obscurity was at an end. In this final tenth of his lifetime on earth, he humbly submits to baptism. The heavens tear open and a trinitarian display reveals Jesus as Son of God and Messiah. His blessing is short lived, as he is brought to his great temptation. We see in this the inevitability of trials as well as blessings in the Christian life, yet all are for our good.
