TWOFOLD... Remove FROM Me And REMOVE Me From The Lies

One of my favorite Psalms... remove the lies and liars from me and our children shall be wise beyond their years (mature quickly like plants) and shaped for beauty and strength (like pillars).... and so many more lovely benefits 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Psalm 144

It goes without saying... but I'm going to say it anyway. Children and grandchildren may not pick up the things you're passionate about. They may not follow your lead. They may never desire to follow in your footsteps. But give them something to respect and worth remembering about you. If you're not leading and teaching and investing and passing on the "who and what" you value, in this temporary life, someone or some group or some anti-you organization, are biting at the bits, investing their resources and eagerly waiting to step in the gap, a gap you neglected to step in, and impose their warped values upon them.

You don't have to be loud or ugly or violent about your values but you ought to be consistent and intentional and thoughtful and respectful and humble and passionate, as you guide the next generation. If you don't do your part, don't be surprised when someone else does it for you. We'll all be accountable before God, and treated like stewards, for the things we've done and what we didn't do with the arrows He's given us.

It takes persistence and precision to shape a well balanced bow and arrow to fly straight. God calls a crooked arrow and twisted or warped bow, as a treacherous bow... because it is unreliable and will no doubt fail you at some point (Hosea 7:16 ; Psalm 78:57 ; Zechariah 1:3-6 ; Zechariah 7:8-14).
