Faith and Sacrifice

Paul explains that God works through the seeds (small things) that He has given to us, and as we disperse them abroad by faith, He multiplies this for the purpose of accomplishing His will. It is all God's power and glory, yet the Kingdom demands real sacrifice from God's servants who are called to be generous with what God has given to them. Paul says two Kingdom goals are accomplished when we live like this: firstly, the needs of the saints are met and secondly, thanksgiving is given to God, which is a vital component of His Kingdom. Paul also shows the knock-on effect or spiral that is set into motion when we demonstrate that our generosity is motivated by the inexpressible gift of God which He gave to us in the Person of His Son.
