The care and prayer of Nehemiah

In this opening chapter, Nehemiah inquires about the condition of the people of God, and of the Holy City. To his great sorrow, the answer is not a positive one. This moves him to prayer and fasting for God's forgiveness, and His wisdom on how to proceed. Here was a man, who was concerned about his brothers and sisters, for the city of Jerusalem, but also for the glory of God.
