Mercy in a Mighty Arm

We must constantly remind ourselves of the source of all our strength. There is no excitement in our numbers, none in our strength, audiences are vain, our efforts are vain, our wisdom is vain - without God's strength we can do nothing. Our strength lies in the God of Jacob; it is very comforting to notice and admire His glorious power and His precious promises. If it were not for His strength we would have no hope of success, no prospect of victory. But we have Christ and that is enough.
