For the Sake of Your Lives

Jeremiah complained to the Lord that his preaching very unpopular truths was getting him persecuted, especially because the judgment threatened was not taking place. It made him look like a false prophet; so, he appealed to the Lord to judge and remove his persecutors to vindicate his service. The Lord responded, neither comforting him or explaining His apparent delay. He simple commanded the prophet to go preach in city gate and warn the people of their violation of the Sabbath.
