Judge Not

Christ told us not to judge or we would be judged but he also told us beware of false prophets. This seems contradictory so what does he mean by judge not. The judge is the one who decides the punishment for law breakers. God is the ultimate judge who gives rewards and punishments. When we contradict God's word by deciding for ourselves what is right and wrong then we are setting ourselves up and judges of God.
