Jesus understood very well what He would endure on the cross. Jesus died in our place not because He did anything wrong. It was our sin that made Him have to die such a death. The only one that is able to forgive us is Jesus. He was the only sacrifice that could cleanse us. When we are cleansed in Christ's blood we are truely changed.
