Our Conqueror Coming in the Clouds, PT 19

The “parousia” was a common term and a real event for the Thessalonians. The coming of the Roman Emperor to a city in the Empire was called a parousia. It met with great pomp and celebration.

Paul is speaking about the coming of a higher king than a Roman Emperor. He writes of the Parousia, or Coming of our Conqueror, Jesus Christ!
