The Unlikely Call of God

In 1Samuel 9 and 10 we see the unlikely calling of Saul by God to be king over Israel. In this story we learn that God calls unlikely people for His purposes and that God's call is pre-destined. In addition we see in chapters nine and ten that the call of Saul is confirmed, and that Saul fails to trust in God's call. In application: Are we walking in a manner worthy of the calling of God; are we responding to God's call by stepping into God's call, speaking boldly about His call, and walking in God's call?
