Depression and the Believer, Part 18 – The Hatred of the World

Depression is a matter of what we think in our minds. God's Word tells us to watch over our hearts with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. This tells us that how we think establishes our life in one way or another. A renewed mind is a mind that is centered in the truth of God's Word. It is this truth in the innermost being that God desires and that gives us true joy as we are encouraged by what is true and protected from what is false. This week we continue our look at the deception of the world. The whole world lies in the power of the evil one and therefore, the world is constantly spewing forth words that are not true. Satan and his world desire to take the believer captive through the lies that are taken as truth in his world. If he can cause us to believe what is not true we will have the sword of the Spirit dashed from our hand. Men are used to proclaim to the world the very doctrine of demons!
