God's Grace Encourages and Redeems

Believers are encouraged by the promise of Christ's second appearance. Paul called it a "glorious appearing". Also, they know Christ to be the One who "gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us". His sinless life and sin-bearing death stood as the ransom price of their release from sin's guilt and the law's condemnation.
