Depression and the Believer Part 4

321

In this study we look at the results of David's sin and how it affected his life and led him to say at the time of his confession, 'Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which Thou hast broken rejoice. Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit.' These petitions to the Lord reveal the misery that David was in after his sin with Bathsheba. We know that this period of time lasted at least nine months. So often, as with David, the depression that we face is due to our own sinful behavior and failure to do things God's way.
