In The Presence of the King

Solomon offers advice to any that would be wise how to conduct themselves in the presence of the king. In Solomon's day it could mean life or death to come into the presence of the king and not conduct yourself in a manner required by the office. Therefore did Daniel use wisdom when he was asked to stand before the king. Easter used wisdom when she came into audience before her king. We also should stand before authorities having faith, the fear of God and respect to the ordained magistrate who serves God on the behalf of man. It may be that you may be asked to give advice or wise counsel, this will take wisdom from God and discernment to speak. Although many injustices may be done according to Solomon, we should remember that those who fear God will serve him better, and live righteously in a wicked fallen world.
