William Carey is a household name among Christians, and most seem to know that he was a missionary to India sent from Great Britain and that he is known popularly as "the Father of Modern Missions." But who was this man, really? What were the influences the Lord used to place the missionary vision in his heart, and what obstacles did he have to overcome?
