Pastor Tim Goad brings us to JESUS's portion of HIS Sermon On The Mount regarding Oaths. Here we see how the people had settled into making rules in what would cause one to keep their oath- that being swearing upon GOD, but that swearing upon anything else allowed for an out of sorts, to evade telling the truth. As Christians, we are called to be truth tellers, in every situation, and as such, be that example that does not need oaths to prove oneself as telling the truth, for everything begins and ends with GOD.
