Series Lessons from Acts

As the Apostle Paul found out, doing God's will can lead to difficulties, even if what you do is done 'according to the letter'. He had to deal with some unreasonable people, along the way coping with lies, slander and prejudice which often ran very deep. Scripture tells us that those 'who live Godly' lives will suffer persecution, and here we discover the situation where a Jewish crowd had been incited to react against the apostle. But, as we may learn, there are also instances where God is able to construct happy providences which He is able to use to benefit His people. That was the case here, and such providences may also be evident in our lives too.
