Did Paul Hate The Law? Does The Bible Contradict Itself, As The Critics Claim?
Series Galatians
598
When you read Paul’s letters you find him calling the law some pretty awful names: “the law worketh wrath” (Rom. 4:15); “the law of sin and death” (Rom. 8:2); “the curse of the law” (Gal. 3:13); "the letter that kills" (2 Cor. 3:6); "the ministry of sin and death" (Rom. 8:2).
Wow, Paul must have really hated the law!
And then you find Paul elsewhere calling the law “good” (I Tim. 1:8); "not against the promises of God" (Gal. 3:21); “holy” (Rom 7:12); Paul even says he “delights in the law of God” (Rom 7:22).
And you think, “well, Paul, which is it?” Did Paul change his mind? (If so, then he could not have been inspired by the Holy Spirit). Is the Bible contradictory as its enemies claim?
