Security of the Believer

This twelfth message from Romans explains the eternal security that each true believer possesses. Paul explains that it is a GIFT, by grace through faith. Our position is one of peace with God and our practice is twofold, triumphing in: the future eternal bliss to come, as well as the present earthly trials of every day life. Our GUILT as sinners has been atoned for by the substitution of Christ's death - we were powerless to save ourselves, but He was propitious, satisfying our debt to God. Dying for a helpful man, or even a hero, is scarce in this life, but Christ showed His love by sacrificing His life for His enemies. The GOAL that believers move toward is threefold: our guaranteed rescue from God's wrath; our permanent relationship with God Himself; and our eternal restoration to God's favor.
