Where Is Your Faith to Conquer a Nation?
Series The Hall of Faith
Genuine Faith's Beauty puts us at odds (not in step) with the fallen world. (The Problem)
["by faith, Moses, when he was born, was hidden for 3 months by his parents, because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they were not afraid of the king's edict."] Psalm 56:4-6This beautiful faith leads us to leave the things of the world for the "ugliness" of Christ. (The Correction)
a. Beautiful faith does not identify with worldly power. ["By faith, Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter… "] Psalm 20:6-8
b. Beautiful faith does not accept worldly privilege. ["… Choosing rather to be missed treated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin."] Psalm 84:10-12
c. Beautiful faith does not invest in worldly value. ["He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt,… "] 2 Timothy 1:7-9
d. Beautiful faith does not pursue what this world has to offer. ["… For he was looking to the reward."] Matthew 5:10-12
e. beautiful faith does not count on worldly security. ["By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king,…"] James 5:10-11
f. beautiful faith does not trust in what the world sees. ["… For he endured as seeing him who is invisible."] 1 Peter 1:7-9In the beautiful faith of Christ, we MUST conquer the world we live in. (The Follow-Through) ["by faith, he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them."]
