Psalm 113 Meditation

This, the first of the Psalms of the Great Hallel (Psalms 113-118), is part of the Hymn that Jesus and the Eleven sang in the Upper Room before leaving for Gethsemane (Matthew 26.30, Mark 14.26).

This Psalm speaks of the glorious works of Him Who is high above His creation, yet Who is near -- how appropriate that He Who is Immanu-el, God with us should sing it the night before His crucifixion!
